Who We Are

The family in Family‑Grade Trust.

Amber & Forge is run by two of us — a husband-and-wife team who have spent our careers inside Korean healthcare, not outside it. It is why we understand a clinic from the inside — and why, when we say we would only send you where we would send our own family, we mean it.

Leo Cho

Founder & CEO

17 years leading the dental market as a specialist inside a global healthcare company.

Rydia Kim

Co-founder

20+ years consulting across clinics — dental and dermatology among them — about ten of them inside Gangnam.

About Amber & Forge

What is Amber & Forge? +

We’re a Seoul-based medical concierge for international visitors. We connect you with a small set of clinics we know from the inside, and stay alongside you from your first question to aftercare. We’re not a clinic ourselves — we help you reach the right one.

How do you choose your clinics? +

We only recommend clinics we know from the inside — places we’ve personally consulted, or whose work and standards we know first-hand. That judgment comes from ten years of consulting with Gangnam’s clinics. We don’t list everyone; we list the ones we’d trust ourselves.

Does using Amber & Forge cost me anything? +

Nothing. You pay only for your treatment, at the clinic — never a fee to us, and never a markup. Our service is completely free to you. We simply connect you with clinics we trust.

Why so few clinics? What if my treatment isn't listed? +

We keep the list small on purpose — we’d rather stand behind a few clinics fully than spread ourselves thin. If what you’re looking for is outside our range, we’ll tell you honestly. Not pretending to cover everything is part of what we offer.

02

Planning your trip

How do I book? +

Reach us by email or messenger (Instagram, WhatsApp, LINE) and tell us what you’re considering and your preferred dates. We’ll do our best to secure the time you want; if it isn’t available, we’ll come back with three or four open dates that work.

How far ahead should I plan? +

For simple skin treatments, a day or two is often enough. For anything that needs a return visit — veneers, or a course of sessions — plan a few weeks ahead so we can sequence it around your trip.

My trip is short — can I do several treatments at once? +

Many skin treatments can be combined in a single visit. Anything that needs recovery or a return visit, we’ll sequence so it doesn’t crowd your trip. If you’re only here a few days, we’ll tell you what’s realistic in that window.

Do I need a medical visa? +

Most aesthetic treatments are fine on a regular tourist visa (or visa-free entry). For longer treatment plans that require a medical visa, the clinic will prepare the documents you need.

What should I bring? +

Just your passport — you’ll need it for international-patient registration. If you have any concerns, past treatments, or medication you’re taking, let us know beforehand so the consultation goes smoothly.

03

Language & support

What languages do you work in? +

We correspond in English and Japanese.

Do you offer accompaniment or interpretation? +

Our partner clinics provide interpretation in English, so we usually don’t need to accompany you. If you’d like a dedicated interpreter or someone with you on the day, just tell us in advance and we’ll be there.

Can you help me decide what to get? +

Of course. Tell us what you’re considering — a specific treatment, or just a vague idea — and we’ll help you find the right direction. We won’t upsell you. Only what you need, matched to you.

Is my inquiry kept private? +

Yes. Your inquiry and personal details are used only to help with your consultation, and never shared without your consent.

04

Treatments, safety & results

Is it safe for foreigners? How do I know the clinics are trustworthy? +

The clinics we work with are licensed medical institutions registered to treat international patients, and we only connect you with ones we know from the inside — places we’ve consulted with directly. Knowing a clinic from within is different from choosing on online reviews alone.

Can I see results? Are there photos or reviews? +

Yes. You’ll find reviews on each clinic’s profile. Results do vary from person to person, so at your consultation we’ll help set expectations that are realistic for you.

How long do the effects last? +

It depends on the treatment. Botox and filler usually last several months; boosters and lifting last longer. We’ll be honest about the expected duration and recommended timing for each.

Will I need downtime? +

It varies by treatment. Many skin treatments let you carry on the same day; lifting or threads may mean a few quiet days. We’ll tell you honestly what to expect so you can plan around it.

What about aftercare? +

The clinic gives you aftercare guidance on the day. We stay reachable once you’re home and can help you arrange any follow-up.

What if something goes wrong? +

The clinics we work with are set up to support international patients if an issue comes up, and we’ll help you stay in contact with them throughout. We’ll always be straight with you.

05

Cost & payment

What will it cost? +

It depends on the treatment and what you actually need, so the final figure is confirmed after consultation. We’ll share a general range for each treatment in advance, so there are no surprises on the day.

Are your clinics expensive? +

We’ll be honest: the clinics we work with aren’t the lowest-priced in Seoul. They use quality materials and give each treatment the time it genuinely needs — and that shows in the price. We curate for results that last, not for the cheapest quote. If the lowest price is what matters most, we may not be the right fit, and we’ll say so kindly. But if you’d rather not leave something as personal as your face or smile to chance, paying a little more here is worth it.

Do foreigners pay the same as locals? +

Yes. You won’t be charged more for being a visitor. Treatment is paid directly to the clinic, and nothing is added for going through us.

Is a deposit required? +

Some clinics ask for a deposit to hold an appointment, and it goes toward your treatment. We’ll let you know in advance if yours does.

Can I claim a tax refund? +

Not anymore. Korea’s 10% VAT refund on cosmetic and aesthetic procedures ended on December 31, 2025, so as of 2026 the price you’re quoted is the final price — there is nothing to reclaim afterward. We’ll always give you the full cost up front. More on what changed.
